Is it Sunday, again?
This week involved a lot of "head down" working on things...that while knitting related are not mine to share.
So nothing new to show, however the new kitchen/entryway/laundry room flooring has been acquired. I will be so very glad to get rid of the badly installed stuff that is already there, but installing is a few weeks out as contractors wearing steel toed boots will need access to my basement in just a couple of weeks.
In many ways, getting rid of this flooring is the final step to getting rid of bad memories...just that and a couple of pieces of furniture remain. They'll be gone by the end of the year, too.
What are you saying "good riddance to bad rubbish" to?

Happy Mothers Day
The prior installation was not as expertly installed as one would like and has been down for more than it's life expectancy. I'm so excited for the new flooring to arrive, but it is at best a week out.
My other present to myself was spending a large portion of the day mucking about in my garden! Photo's later but there are Trilliums!
How did you spend your Mother's Day?
Until next time!

A regular Finished Object Friday Post!
Well, almost...I'm actually not going to talk about any of the finished objects I have hanging around waiting for their "spa day", just show you I have been knitting!
And my garden is finally agreeing that it is spring!

Where does the time go?
I always used to say, if you want something done as a busy person to do it; and for much of my life I was that busy person who seemed to fill her days with more done items on her to-do list than things that got postponed to the next day.
Lately though, I find that I am pushing more and more from today's list to tomorrows and things like keeping the blog updated seemed to fall by the wayside. I'd look at it and think to myself, "there is so much to say, where do I start?" and then of course close the browser window and not start. Today that changes and there really is a lot of knitting to talk about!
Since last we spoke I have published 4 patterns, two with Knotions and two that were self published on Ravelry and Payhip.
Trillium was published in Knotions during February. It is a large shawl taking approximately 1,200 yards of yarn but I do love the way it turned out!
April saw two self published patterns released into the world.
Syncopation Cuff Down Socks (that's a Ravelry Link...here is the Payhip one) If you prefer toe up socks, those are in the beta-knitting phase now and should be released shortly.
And Insert Witty Title Here Mitts (here's the Payhip link)
Then this weekend another Knotions pattern, States of Matter. (link to Knotions)
I have been looking at some of the third party patterns that I have recently got my rights back to and working on "new and improving" them for self publishing. First up will probably be the capelette from December...Ladon which is getting new line by line instructions for previously charted only cables and a chart for the previously written out brioche instructions.
In the meantime I have been swatching some new sock and shawl designs and signed a contract to have solar panels put on my house!
What have you been up to the past couple of months?
Hopefully I will be back to blogging more regularly, but the best way to stay "in the know" of new pattern releases really is to sign up for the newsletter over there on the right hand side of your screen.
Until next time....
